Leonard E. Reddemann age 90, of Springfield, MN died on January 27, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN.

Funeral Service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye Chapel, on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

The clergy will be Pastor David G. Fretham.

Interment will be at the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Military rites by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Leonard Edwin Reddemann was born on July 17, 1931 to Edwin and Lillie (Trebesch) Reddemann in Sleepy Eye, MN. He grew up on the family farm four miles west of Sleepy Eye. After serving in the Korean War, Leonard returned home to run his trucking business. In 1956, he married Marjorie Brekke of Hanska at Albion Lutheran Church on October 6, 1956. Together they were involved in the trucking businesses in Sleepy Eye, Hanska and Miller, SD. Later in life he worked for Leonard Malecek Trucking and Christensen Farms until his retirement. Leonard was an avid sports fan. He coached Little League baseball in Prairieville, MN for several years and enjoyed watching city league baseball as well as the Twins, Vikings, Gophers and the Wild. Leonard was active as a 4-H leader working with livestock shows and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his retirement he would travel to toy shows and was an avid toy truck collector.

He is survived by three children, Janelle (John) Carotenuto; Daniel (Jackie) Reddemann; and Debra (Mark) Carstensen; seven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marjorie in 2018; sister, Delores and her husband, Charles Menk and two children, Dean and Kathie.
