Kim Marie Quiring age 61, of Lamberton, died on November 15, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 20, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton Chapel and will continue on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the Highwater Lutheran Church in rural Lamberton.

Service will be held at the Highwater Lutheran Church on Thursday at 10:30 am.

The clergy will be Pastor Michael Stangeland. Interment will be at the Highwater Lutheran Cemetery.

Kim Marie (Henkel) Quiring was born June 10, 1958, to Fred and Myrna (Davidson) Henkel in Two Harbors, MN.

Kim was confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lamberton. She graduated from Lamberton High School in 1976. Kim married Terry Quiring on March 26, 1977, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Terry and Kim had three daughters, Sarah, Katherine and Sheila.

Kim was a member of Highwater Lutheran Church, rural Lamberton. Through the years, Kim served as Sunday School Superintendent, taught Sunday school, Luther League advisor, and served on the church council.

Over the years, Kim worked at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Center as Assistant Activity Director, Storden Bank, Storden-Jeffers Elementary School as Librarian, and most recently the Cottonwood County Attorney’s Office as a legal assistant. While working with the school, Kim was cheerleading advisor and directed the one-act plays. Kim’s true joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved attending their various sports games and other activities.

Kim is survived by her husband, Terry Quiring; Daughters, Katherine (Adam) Wendt; Sheila Niles; Grandchildren, Colton Niles, Lily Niles, Harlow Wendt and Willow Wendt; Father, Fred Henkel; Siblings: Pamela Steffen and family; Curtis (Colleen) Henkel and family; Mary (Terry) Neperman and family; Linda (Jim) Cazett and family; Jeff (Sue) Stoutland and family; and James (Marianne) Stoutland and family; Sister-in­-law, Vicki Quiring and family; Brother-in-law, Steve (Sandy) Quiring and family;

Kim was preceded in death by Daughter, Sarah Marie Quiring; Mother, Myrna Henkel; Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law, Donald and Arliss Quiring; Brothers-in-Law, Bradley Quiring and Lee Steffen; and step-mother, Bonnie Henkel.
