Joanne Klein age 84, of Sleepy Eye, MN died peacefully on October 9, 2021, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye where she had made her home for the last 7 years.

Private family burial will be at a later date.

Joanne Marie Klein was born on March 19th 1937, in Sleepy Eye, MN, the daughter of Frederick & Mathilda (Lux) Seidl. Joanne married Roger Lee Klein on June 25th 1960, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. They made their home in Sleepy Eye. Joanne initially worked at the Farmers Creamery. From 1976 to 1986, she and Roger ran the Montgomery Wards store in town. She then worked at AUI/Norwood until retiring in 2002. Joanne enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed making other residents laugh and helped them as much as she could. She enjoyed and loved the staff and all who cared for her. Joanne is survived by her daughters, Lori (Steven) Dierke of Hudson, WI. and children, Tyler (Taylor) of Madison, Wi. Troy of Portland, OR. and Bryce (Tori) of Hudson, WI, Lisa (Tim) Eckstein of Barrett Mn. and children, Craig of Burnsville, Mn. and Kelsey (Jason Scholes) of Gilbert, Az. Brother-Jim (Diane) Seidl of Scottsdale, Arizona and sister Janice Gallup of Mankato, MN. Sisters-in-law Judy (Bob) Paulson of Sleepy Eye, Mn, Linda Brennan of Burnsville, Mn, and Karen (John) Huettl of North Mankato, Mn. And many nieces, nephews and cousins.
