James Alois Wensauer, Jim, was born on August 7, 1950 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Raymond & Agnes (Fink) Wensauer. He attended Country School in Mulligan Township, St. Paul’s Catholic School in Comfrey and graduated from Comfrey Public School in 1968. Jim spent his entire life farming the land that he loved and caring for his dairy and beef cows. Jim married Patricia Bartosh on September 8, 1973 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom, MN. Jim and Pat worked together to build their operation and were proud to celebrate the achievement of becoming a century farm in 1999. Jim was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and served on the Brown County American Dairy Association Board. He enjoyed the outdoors and trips to the field were sometimes longer than planned because he would stop to watch wildlife. He took pride in creating beautiful wood projects for special people in his life. Even though Jim was a quiet man, he enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors when they would stop by. Jim was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, of Comfrey, daughter, Christy (Allan) Kallevig of Belgrade, MN, granddaughter, Lily Kallevig, siblings, Joe (Laura) Wensauer of Parkers Prairie, MN, Kathy (Ivan) Radloff of Winthrop, MN, Mary (Dale) Weigmann of Willmar, MN, David (Valerie) Wensauer of Sacred Heart, MN, Barbara (Joel) Lingbeck of Renville, MN, father-in-law, Leo Bartosh of Delft, MN, sisters-in-law, Janel (Larry) Eichstadt of Jeffers, MN, Monica (Wayne) Muller of Windom, MN and many nieces and nephews.
