Jacob E. Otto, age 34, of Redwood Falls passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 from Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. on Friday, April 16, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to a charity of your choice.

Jacob was born on July 22, 1986 to Edward and Teresa (Caneff) Otto in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Jacob grew up in Hasting and attended school in Morgan, after school he moved to Redwood Falls where he worked as a cook. He loved to fish and was very fond of drawing and writing. He especially enjoyed time with his nephews. Jacob was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan.

Jacob was a good and loyal son, brother and uncle that lived to never cause harm to anyone.

Jacob is survived by his parents – Scott and Teresa Vogl and Edward Otto; siblings –Desiree Otto of Morgan and Jax Vogl of Morgan; nephews – Dawson Hacker, Dante Otto and Dallas Otto all of Morgan; Niece – Zoe Hacker. Grandparents – Lawrence Caneff, Marilyn Vogl and Al Sladek.

Jacob is preceded in death by grandparents – Jerry Vogl, Elizabeth Caneff and Dorothy Sladek. Aunts and Uncles – Miranda Caneff, Diane Schiller and Pete Otto. Good Friend – Dusty Schultz.
