Inez Ruth Underland was born on July 25, 1930, on the family farm north of Renville to Ike and Annie (Stomberg) Freiborg. She grew up on the family farm and attended District 88 country school. Following her education, Inez worked for several families in the area caring for their children. She was united in marriage to George Feldman and together they farmed north of Renville. Unfortunately, George died at a young age, so Inez and her two children moved into Renville and she worked at the local grocery store. She later was united in marriage to Arne Underland on August 18, 1963, at the First English parsonage in Sacred Heart. Inez and Arne made their home on a farm in Rheiderland township near Clara City. They moved into Clara City in 1988, and later moved to Meadow’s On Main in Renville. In August of 2023, they moved into the RenVilla Nursing Home and have resided there since. Inez was a life long member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church and was active in the Ladies Aide and as Sunday school teacher. She also volunteered for over 20 years at the Clara City Care Center in the activities department. Inez and Arne enjoyed bus trips, traveling across the US and to Alaska. She loved gardening, raising flowers, and watching birds.
She is survived by her husband Arne, her son and daughter: Dave Feldman of Renville, and Barb (and Darwin) Bohlsen of Clara City; her grandchildren: Kim (and Ben) O’Malley, Craig (and Stacey) Feldman, Ryan (and Sami) Bohlsen, and Erin Feldman; her great-great grandchildren: Trevin and Ava O’Malley, Brock and Haley Feldman, and Brynley and Gunner Bohlsen; her sister Janet Agre of South Dakota; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, her daughter-in-law Kathy Feldman, her granddaughter Beth Bohlsen Skelton, and her siblings: Boyd, Henry, and Louie Freiborg, and Idella Underland.
Blessed Be Her Memory
