Ila Mae Rohlik

Ila Mae Rohlik, age 83 of Seaforth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her home, with family at her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 AT THE CHURCH with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Ila Mae Rohlik was born October 27, 1939 in Granite Rock Township, Redwood County, Minnesota, to Edward and Myrtle (Stage) Eis. She was baptized on November 30, 1939 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Seaforth and also confirmed there on May 11, 1952. She attended country school District 80 in Sheridan Township, and then graduated from Wabasso High School. On September 5, 1959, Ila Mae married Gerald Anthony Rohlik at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth. The couple made their home on Gerald’s family farm. Ila Mae and Gerald were blessed with 5 children. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth until its closing, and then became a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Ila Mae was active in the church, including the CCW. She took great joy in gardening, canning, and making meals for her family. She was still bringing meals to the men in the fields this Fall. Ila Mae loved listening to Mollie B Polka Music and Irish singer, Daniel O’Donnell. She made many beautiful quilts, and loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time with her family.
Ila Mae is survived by her children: Ann Rudenick of Seaforth, Jeffrey (Kelly) Rohlik of Vesta, Dale (Sue) Rohlik of Wabasso, Chris (Michelle) Rohlik of Vesta, and Lee (Debra) Rohlik of Vesta; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way; siblings: Paulanett Rohlik, Dick Eis, and Bernadine Pistulka; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, son-in-law Dean Rudenick, granddaughter Jennifer Rudenick, sister Marie Eis (died in infancy), and siblings-in-law Dianne Eis, Peter Rohlik, and Emery Pistulka.
