Harvey Bratsch, age 78, of Danube, MN died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Olivia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Olivia.  Funeral services will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church in Danube with Pastor Krey Leesman officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements by Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Olivia, MN.

Harvey Gilbert Bratsch was born on December 1, 1942 to Gilbert and Helen (Shubert) Bratsch on the family farm in Danube, MN. He attended school in Danube until he began his life long career as a farmer with his father. Harvey married Charlotte Kieffer on September 7, 1963 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia.  They farmed in the area before moving back to the family farm south of Danube.  Harvey and Charlotte were members of the Zion United Methodist Church in Danube where he ushered for many years. Together they loved to travel; they visited family in Texas and Oregon and spent a few winters in Arizona. Harvey enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He especially liked when they were able to play cards together. Old fashioned, real country music was his favorite to listen to. He will be remembered for being hard working and his kind nature.

Harvey is survived by his three children: Sheldon (Lisa Knoll) of New Ulm, Catherine (Keith) Lillis of Eau Claire, and Stacy Bratsch (Tywan Carter) of Chaska; his four grandchildren: James Zaske, Jamie Bratsch, Mercedes Bratsch, and Mackenzie Bratsch; his four great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Lothert of Willmar. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Charlotte.
