A private funeral service will be held with his immediate family on Monday, January 25, 2021 at The First Lutheran Church in Renville, MN with Pastor Jane Crawford officiating.  Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville, MN.

Glenn Hannah was born on December 28, 1939, to Clarence and Mabel (Larson) Hannah in Crookston, MN.  He was baptized and confirmed at First Presbyterian Church in Crookston.  He attended school in Crookston, graduating from Central High in May of 1957.  Upon graduating from High School, he entered the U.S. Navy and served his country proudly from 1957 to 1960.

After being discharged from the service he was united in marriage to Carol Myrold on October 7, 1961.  They were blessed with three children: Michael, Cheryl and Barbara.  He worked a variety of jobs in his life.  Working for the Minnesota Twins for a number of years provided him with many stories to share. He worked for the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Co-op and retired from there in 2001.  He worked hard providing for his family and his future generations.  He served as a councilman for the city of Renville, various positions on the council of First Lutheran Church in Renville, Stephen Ministry at First Lutheran, board at Renville Healthcare and Meals on Wheels.  You could always find Glenn humming or singing a tune and he showed these talents through the First Lutheran Church Choir and Kandi-o-Hi Men’s Chorus.

Out of all his accomplishments in life, his family and faith were his greatest.  Whether sitting in the school gym or sporting fields he was his kids and grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader.  He was a man that not only spoke about his faith but lived it for others to see.  Most recently his proudest moments where when he would be spending time with his great-grandchildren.  They brought immense joy to his life.

Glenn is survived by his wife Carol Hannah of Renville; his son and daughters: Michael (and Renee) Hannah of Renville, Cheryl (and Lonnie) Engstrom of Renville, & Barbara (and Eric) Kronlokken of Sacred Heart.  His grandchildren: Lindsey (and Alex) Sweep of Glenwood; Kelly (and Cole) Gigstad of Renville; Evan Engstrom of Fargo, ND; Isaac Engstrom of Fargo, ND; Ian (and Dana) Engstrom of Renville; Nora Kronlokken and fiance Cal Anderson of Renville; Emma Kronlokken of Sacred Heart; his great-Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Raymond Sweep, June Gigstad, and Cooper Engstrom.   He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
