George Henry Kluver, age 91, of Renville, died Monday, June 20, 2022, at the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville.  Funeral services will be Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Renville.  The Rev. Trevor Bailey will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville.  Visitation will continue on Friday one hour prior to the services at the church in Renville.

George Henry Kluver was born on July 16, 1930, in Prinsburg, Minnesota to Thomas and Etta (Folkerts) Kluver.  He grew up on a farm north of Raymond and attended country school.  George was united in marriage to Bonnie Sconberg on August 16. 1958, at First Lutheran Church in Renville.  They lived in Raymond for a couple of years and then moved to Renville in 1962.  George worked for Kibby Engineering and Construction of Minneapolis for nearly 20 years.  He then worked for the City of Renville until his retirement.  George was an active member of First Lutheran Church and was the head usher and custodian for many years.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, and watching Westerns on TV.

He is survived by his sons and daughters:  Jim (and Valerie) Kluver of Renville, Gary Kluver of Spicer, Terri (and Ron) McGee of Olivia, Robert Kluver of Paynesville, Richard Kluver of Renville, and Tammy Kluver (and special friend Dana Christensen) of New London; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great – great grandchildren; his brother and sister: Clarence (and Helen) Kluver of Granite Falls, and Grace Stoll of Howard Lake; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
