Florence Elizabeth Kaufenberg age 98, of Springfield, MN died on October 9, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 17, 2022, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Our Lady of Victory in Lucan, MN.

Service will be held at the Our Lady of Victory on Monday at 11:00 am.

Interment will be at the Our Lady of Victory in Lucan.

Florence Elizabeth Kaufenberg was born on December 2, 1923, to Henry and Frances (Jenniges) Baumann in Wanda, MN. She attended and graduated from Walnut Grove High School. On June 18, 1945, Florence was united in marriage to Leo Kaufenberg at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda. Florence was a homemaker and helped on the family farm near Lucan. She also worked at the Lucan grocery store and Lucan Café. After retiring from farming Florence moved to Lamberton. She then became a resident of St. John Circle of Care in Springfield. Florence was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Lucan where she was active in Christian Mothers and the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also involved in the Redwood County Extension. Florence enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, scrabble, playing cards, gardening, canning, playing bingo, and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her children – Sister Ann Carol (SSND) of Mankato, Joseph of Burnsville, Susan (Al) Rost of Park Rapids, Mary (Pat) Heffernan of Dresser, WI, Paul (Marilyn) of Pequot Lakes, Lee of Springfield, SD; grandchildren – Amy Boettger, Jon Kaufenberg, Paula Jo Brown, Kari Hartig, Staci Ramola, Angie Young, Michelle Simmons, Doug Rost, Jenny Zeltwanger, Christa Dekok, Nicole Malaske, Erin Reichelt, Elizabeth Martin, Allie Kaufenberg, Kya Kaufenberg; 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sister Erna Koloski and brother Cyril (Jean) Baumann.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo, son Francis. She was preceded in death by siblings – Lawrence Baumann, Romuald Baumann, Mildred Kaufenberg, Rita Klabunde, Gene Baumann.
