Elaine Rose Hanson was born March 25, 1942, in Lake Lillian Township to Vincent and Cecilia (Moudry) Clouse. She was the 1959 Homecoming Queen and a 1960 graduate of Olivia High School. Elaine was united in marriage to Robert Hanson on September 14, 1963, at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia, MN. She was employed by the First National Bank of Willmar and later became a homemaker where she enjoyed baking, gardening, and taking care of family. Elaine was a devout member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia where she served on many different councils and boards and was a religious education instructor. Besides her involvement with the church, Elaine also served as the Lake Lillian Township Clerk for 24 years and volunteered at the Rice Memorial Hospital surgical lounge for over 35 years. Elaine loved living through faith, cooking and baking for her family, socializing, playing cards, crafting, and staying active through walking and biking; but what she loved the most in life was spending time with her family and friends. Elaine will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In remembrance of Elaine’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Olivia or Centre Care Hospice of Willmar.
