Dicey “Clarice” Chadwell

The funeral service for Dicey “Clarice” Chadwell, 75, of Echo, will be Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Valle Lutheran Church in rural Echo. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

Dicey “Clarice” (Burnett) Chadwell was born October 11, 1946, in Orofino, Idaho, to Clarence and Alma (Peer) Burnett. She grew up and attended school in Idaho. After high school, Clarice was married and moved to Minnesota where she raised her children.  On September 16, 1989, Clarice was united in marriage to Danny Chadwell at Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls.

Clarice was an active member of Rock Valle Lutheran Church since the 1980s, and she enjoyed quilting with the church ladies and helping with the ladies aid. She was a kind, helpful person who was always giving of her time and talents. In her free time, Clarice enjoyed gardening and crafting. She especially loved time spent with her grandchildren.

Clarice died on Monday, November 1, 2021, at her residence in Echo, under the care of Carris Hospice. She is survived by her children Doug (Angie) Burnett, John (Catherine) Burnett, Aaron Greene, Cheryl (Derek) Carruth, and Kathleen Greene; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and one on the way; siblings Laura, Jim, and Dan Burnett; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Alma, husband Danny, and siblings Elias and Molly.
