Dennis Joe Zieske

Dennis Joe Zieske, age 66, of Danube, died Monday, July 6, 2020 at Rice Therapy Suites in Willmar.  A visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2020 from 5-7pm in the Dirks-Blem Funeral Chapel in Olivia.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10 am at Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery north of Renville.  The Rev. Paul McCullough will officiate. Due to the current health crisis, masks and social distancing will be required at the visitation. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service.

Dennis Joe Zieske was born on March 26, 1954, in Redwood Hospital to Calvin Gordon and Rose Elizabeth (Bernardy) Zieske.  He grew up in the Redwood Falls area and graduated from Redwood High School in 1973.  Dennis was united in marriage to Shirley Feldman on September 15, 1979, at the United Methodist Church in Renville. Dennis owned and operated his own trucking business, Zieske Trucking, for many years.  He also owned and operated Quality Auto Sales in Olivia for several years.  Dennis loved stock car racing, was a KRA board member, and without question was one of the greatest grandstand drivers ever.  He also loved old cars, both collecting and fixing them.  Dennis also loved to watch his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Shirley, his sons and daughter: Dustin (and Tina Morman) of Lynd, MN, Derek (and Jenny) of Renville, and Ashley Zieske and her fiancée Tim Schroeder of Renville; his grandchildren: Aleah, Aubree, Ella, Caitlyn, William, Jacey, Jordyn, Beau, Tucker, Kyra, and Carson;  his brothers and sisters: Darius (and Ellen), Darrell (and Lynnae), Perry (and Joan), LeNae (and Art) Lang, LynDa (and Mark) Bethke, and Kevin (and Laurie); his sister-in-law Joyce Zieske, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Arlan.
