David Wallace Lindquist was born October 30, 1951 to Wallace and Idamae (Olson) Lindquist. He grew up on the family farm where he was living at the time of his death. He was a 1969 graduate of Olivia Public School. He was baptized and confirmed at Cross of Calvary Lutheran Church in Olivia, where he was still a member. He attended Willmar VoTech for Ag for two years.

Dave’s only job was farming. From hauling grain to town at a very young age, his love of farming continued until his death. He retired three years ago, but anxiously waited to help out his renter; even if it meant he had to drive a John Deere. He enjoyed hunting, watching sports, fishing, spearing, and taking his grandchildren on ranger rides. He especially enjoyed reminiscing about what team won a sports event and what field he was working in when an event occurred; everyone counted on Dave as he remembered the details of all events.

Dave married Sue Wertish on August 16, 2002 at the Mall of America Chapel. They resided in Olivia until moving to the family farm in 2004. They enjoyed traveling and Sue even convinced him to go on bus trips, which he enjoyed. Dave was very proud of his farm and always kept the lawn mowed perfectly. He loved going for coffee each morning in his pickup and driving the ranger around checking crops. His beloved dog, Millie, faithfully rode with him everywhere; when he got coffee in the morning he also got a cookie to share with her. If Sue would also be along, she took a back seat to his furry companion.

Dave is survived by his wife, Sue of Olivia; sister, Cheryl Victorino (and friend, Bob Ciari) of Prineville, OR; his three step-children: Michael Schneider of Sacred Heart, Sara (and Bart) Cruz of Milwaukee, WI, and Jimmy (and Peggy) Schneider of Sacred Heart; his six grandchildren: Cati, Kerany, Beto, & Santiago Cruz, and Maci & Liam Schneider; his sisters-in-law, Anita McNulty and MaryAnn (and Lowell) Jorgenson; his brother-in-law, John Goelz; his step-siblings: Carol Dennison, Mary (and Jeff) Skallrud, and Steve Moje; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and cousins, a special cousin, Roger Shanahan. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Idamae Lindquist; step-mother, Myra (Moje) Lindquist; sister, Lorna Bye; grandparents, Ed and Alice Olson and Kate and Fred Lindquist; sister-in-law, Alice Goelz; brother-in-law, Bion McNulty; step-brother-in-law, Jim Dennison; step-sister-in-law, Grace Moje; and his beloved dog, Millie.
