Darlene Cleo Gahm was born August 11, 1939 in Renville, MN to Olaf and Gertrude (Huseby) Listerud. She was raised by her parents in Renville and attended school there. Darlene married Glen Gahm on January 31, 1956 at Renville and their marriage was blessed with six children. They lived in Danube and Olivia, before settling down in Bird Island. Darlene and Glen enjoyed playing cards with their friends, and hosted many card games at their home. Darlene was a dedicated and loving mother. She was a hardworking homemaker and was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Her green thumb was apparent by the numerous house plants that adorned the wall of shelves that she had in her home. She collected many knick-knacks but her most cherished were her thimbles. Darlene enjoyed listening to country-western music and loved having coffee with the ladies in her neighborhood. After her husband passed away she spent many years traveling throughout the United States visiting her family and friends. In 1992, Darlene moved to Willmar where she had been residing since.

Darlene is survived by her six children: Robin (George) Honzay of Park Rapids, MN, Terry (Dave) Carroll of Menominee, MI, Vicky Gahm of Bird Island, MN, Scott (Tami) Gahm of Rapid City, SD, Bruce (Sara) Gahm of Gilbert, AZ, Jason (Louise) Gahm of San Tan Valley, AZ; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; grandson, Daryn Robert Glen Carroll; her sister, Irene; and five brothers: Gordon, Leroy, Dennis, Leejon, and Morrie.

Blessed Be Her Memory.
