Dale Norskog

Dale Norskog, age 71, of Bird Island, MN passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A memorial service will be on Friday, December 15, at 1:00 p.m. at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian with Pastor David Nelson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, at the church. Burial will be in the Palmyra Lutheran Cemetery in rural Bird Island. Arrangements are by Dirks-Blem Funeral Service of Olivia.

Dale Brian Norskog was born on July 12, 1952 to Clifford and Bernice (Ruud) Norskog in Willmar, MN. He graduated from Bird Island High School in 1970 and furthered his education at Willmar Vo-Tech College. Dale was united in marriage to Joyce Clarke; they farmed near Fairfax and shared three children. After his divorce, Dale moved to Hutchinson where he worked for HTI. He then returned to Bird Island to farm with his dad until his retirement when he took over farming full time. He had a love for his red tractors and a passion for working on cars and motorcycles. Dale will be remembered for his dry but good sense of humor and being a unique character.

Dale is survived by his children: Heather of Bird Island, Aaron (and fiancée Marie) of Bird Island, and Adrian (and Beatriz) of Allen, TX; his grandchildren: Brandon, Nicolas, Christopher, Alexander, Cody, and Candyce; his sister, Julie (and Bill) Gass of Clitherall; his nieces: Becky Barton and Christy Gass; and many other relatives and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Bernice; his granddaughter, Kalley; and the mother of his children, Joyce.
