Connie Duscher

Connie Duscher, age 62 of Lucan, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls after a brief illness.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan.  Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2 at the church with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. and a Rosary to follow.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.  Interment will be held at a later date.  In honor of Connie, the family requests guests wear purple, her favorite color.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Connie was born June 13, 1959 to Wilbert and Rita (Stadick) Linsmeier in Redwood Falls, Minnesota She received the sacraments in the Catholic faith. Connie graduated from Wabasso public school in 1977. On October 1, 1977, she married the love of her life, Duane Duscher, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Connie then joined the family business and helped Duane at Lucan Hardware Plumbing and Heating. In 1983, she began managing the hardware store.  Connie loved working around the house, you could often find her tending to her garden.  She enjoyed watching movies and playing with her dog.  Connie especially loved spending time with her family.

Connie is survived by her husband Duane of 44 years; children: Jennifer (Mike) Scheiber of Lucan and Randall (Kolette) Duscher of Wanda; grandchildren: Hannah & Jada Scheiber and Kamoria & Ella Duscher; mother, Rita Linsmeier of Worthington; siblings: Sandy Witzke of Lucan, Gerald (Cindy) Linsmeier of Kandiyohi, Richard (Renee) Linsmeier of Worthington; her dog Torri; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Wilbert Linsmeier and twin grandsons, Anthony and Robert.
