Chester Churchill age 82, of Lamberton, MN died on May 4, 2022, at North Memorial Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton, MN.

Service will be held at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Saturday at 11:00 am.

The clergy will be Chaplain Noel Wetter. Interment will be at the Lamberton Cemetery.

Chester ‘Chet’ Clarence Churchill was born on May 12, 1939, in Lamberton Township, Redwood County, MN, the son of Henry and Anna (Kronback) Churchill. He graduated from Lamberton High School in 1957. He then worked at the Lamberton Feedmill. Chet was united in marriage to Winifred Hutchinson on August 23, 1958, at the Lamberton Methodist Church. The couple moved to rural Lamberton and started farming in 1973. He worked various jobs throughout the years including Don Hogan Construction, Bob Halter Construction, and AMPI in New Ulm. Chet retired in 2004. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, fishing, and playing cards. He also enjoyed his morning coffee with his friends and his afternoon “shake of the day”. He was known to tease and treat his grandchildren and great grandchildren, which they all loved!

Chester Churchill died on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 82.

He is survived by his wife Winifred Churchill of Lamberton; children Barbara Churchill of Sartell, Steven (Judy) Churchill of Revere, Marjorie (Steven) Smith of Lakeville, Daniel (Nicole) Churchill of Maple Grove, and Kathleen (Joel) Fenger of Alexandria; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Chester was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Anna and siblings – Vernon, Maurice, Lawrence, Henry, James, Myron, Elmer, Richard, and Laura.
