Bruce Allen Berry, 66, of Morton, passed away January 11, 2023 at his home in Morton. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church on the Lower Sioux Community with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, from 4 until 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. all, at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church Hall and will continue Saturday at the church hall, from 10 until 11 a.m.

Bruce was the son of Robert Berry, Sr and Betty Lee. He was born on February 14, 1956 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He later moved to Morton where he attended Morton High School earning his GED in 1976. He was a member of the St. Cornelia’s Bishop Whipple Mission Church of the Lower Sioux Indian Community.  Bruce enjoyed having coffee and visiting with his family and friends.  He was very knowledgeable and interested in the history and ancestry of the Lower Sioux Indian Community.  Bruce loved beading and working on making regalia and was a traditional dancer who was known for his love of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s music.  He also loved cooking and sharing meals with his friends and family.

Bruce is survived by his two brothers, Roger Berry and Rodney Berry of the Lower Sioux Community in Morton; many nieces and nephews and great  nieces and nephews; god daughter Shelley Dow. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Berry Sr and Betty Lee; sister Marie Berry; Brothers Robert Jr., Richard Berry and Dennis Berry; and special friend Christon C. Callahan.
