Brittney June Knutson, age 21, of Sacred Heart, died Saturday, March 7, at the Granite Falls Hospital.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview.  The Rev. Pari Bailey will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date in Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery in Sacred Heart.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church in Belview.   Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville.

Brittney June Knutson was born on March 22, 1998, in Olivia, Minnesota to Curt Knutson and Stacey Helmer.  She grew up in the Sacred Heart and Belview area.  Brittney was baptized at Cross of Calvary Lutheran Church in Olivia and later confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview.  She attended school at Renville County West, graduating in 2016. She then continued her education at Alexandria Technical College receiving her degree in Early Childhood Development.  For the last year, Brittney has been working as a teacher at Little Lambs Learning Center in Danube.  She has also been continuing her education at southwest State University in Marshall, studying social work. Brittney loved to dance and was a Just for Kix instructor. She loved kids and being an auntie, camping with her friends, and was a gifted photographer.  However, she was happiest when working on Shaun Bruns’ racecar and being at the local race track. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and working with the Dominick Bruns Memorial.

She is survived by her mom, Stacey (and Significant other Jeff Ousky) of Belview, her dad, Curt Knutson of Sacred Heart, her two brothers: Daniel (and Significant other Diane Delomba) Helmer of Mankato, and Derek Helmer of Belview; her two nephews, Lane and Braxton; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Miller and June Knuston and Bob and Karen Helmer, and her uncles Mike and Erv Knutson.
