Beverly Jean Schroeder, 87, of Danube, MN passed away on October 17, 2021 in St. Peter, MN.  Funeral services will be held at Willmar Bible Church on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 3:00 with Pastor Tom Radtke officiating.  A private burial will follow the next day at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at Willmar Bible Church on October 24, 2021.  Willmar Bible Church is located at 364 County Road 9 SE, Willmar, MN 56201.  Arrangements by Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Olivia, MN.

Beverly was born in Olivia, MN to Gertrude and Oliver Lueck on October 22, 1933.  She went to Danube High School and graduated in 1951.  She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics Education from the University of MN in 1955.  She taught middle school Science and Home Economics in Lakeville, MN for 2 years and later worked at Eisenberg Associates in CA for a few years. Beverly married Richard Schroeder on July 15, 1955 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Danube.  She enjoyed throwing dinner parties, cooking gourmet meals, trying out new recipes, gardening, sewing, needlework, quilting, writing Christmas letters, making Christmas cards, and singing.  She was a member of the Note-Cracker Sweets barbershop quartet that won the 1964 Sweet Adelines International Queens of Harmony competition.  Beverly enjoyed learning new skills such as weaving, upholstery, pottery, and welding.  She was a long-time member of the choir at Valley Church in Cupertino, CA and also sang in a women’s trio.  She enjoyed the study of Eschatology, being involved in Bible studies, and supporting many missionaries for the purpose of spreading the good news about her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Richard Schroeder, of St. Peter, MN, her brother, Gary Lueck, of Rochester, MN, her daughter, Stephanie Laabs of Maple Lake, MN, her son, Timothy Schroeder, of Jasper, GA, her granddaughter, Kelsie Kluender, of St. Peter, MN, her grandson, Andrew Halvorsen, of Chicago, IL, her granddaughter, Dr. Rachel Thomas, of Fort Worth, TX, and her granddaughter, Cora Haggerty, of Hernando, FL.  She is preceded in death by her father, Oliver Lueck, of Danube, MN, and her mother, Gertrude Lueck, of Danube, MN.
