Betty M. Miller, 96, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Belview, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Parkview Nursing Home in Belview. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview with burial to follow in the Peace Memorial Gardens near Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and visitation will continue at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Saturday.

Betty Mae Wohlman, the daughter of Oscar and Alma (Koeppe) Wohlman, was born on May 24, 1926, in Osakis, MN. The family later moved to Danube where she attended Danube schools graduating from Danube High School in 1944.  On October 6, 1945 she married William “Bill” Miller at St. Mathews Lutheran Church in Flora Township.  After their marriage they lived near Delhi, then near Morton and in 1964 they returned to Delhi to farm. After they retired from farming, they moved to Belview where she enjoyed working for Anderson Electric of Belview.  After Bill died in 1993 Betty moved to Redwood Falls.  She was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview where she a member of the Ladies Aid serving as the secretary, treasurer and also spent time teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible Study.  Betty was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and also served on the Parkview Nursing Home Board and helped with the local blood drives.

She is survived by her four children, Vicki (Doug) Schmid of Douglas, WY, Bruce (Kathy) Miller of Crossville, TN, Brenda Zimmer (special friend Paul Evan Jones) Forsyth, MT, and Dawn Miller of Douglas, WY; a sister in law, Kathy Wohlman of   South Haven, MN; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; 5 step great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Miller on December 25, 1993 and her brother LeRoy Wohlman.
