Barbara Helen Lampher was born October 25, 1953 in Olivia, MN to Bernard Sr. and Ida (Collier) Brown. She grew up in Olivia and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1971. Barbara Brown married George “Barney” Lampher on September 7, 1973 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia and they were blessed with three children. Barb and Barney moved from Minneapolis, back to Olivia where they owned and operated Hi-Tech Services repairing electronics first in their basement and later at their store in downtown Olivia. Barb was very friendly and loved interacting with people. She could have a conversation with anyone and really enjoyed making connections while working at Casey’s and Island Market. Reading, doing puzzles, and watching comedy sitcoms brought her much joy. Barb’s family was extremely important to her and she cherished all of the time spent with her grandchildren. She was a lover of all animals but dogs were her favorite. Her beloved dog, Charlie, kept her spirits up these last couple of years as she battled some health issues. Barb will be remembered for her sweet soul, big heart, and amazing sense of humor.

Barb is survived by her three children: her son, Anthony (and Brittany) Lampher along with their daughter Piper and son Theodore of Willmar; her daughter, Lindsay (and Scott) Carruthers along with step-grandchildren, Ian, Tayva, and Deiken of Willmar; her daughter, Whitney Lampher of Willmar; her seven siblings: Maxine (and Michael) Schmit, Darrell “Tom” (and Jan) Brown, Judy Brown, Patrick (and Mary) Brown, Marian (and John) Gartner, David (and Candy) Brown, Bridget (and Perry) Lemke; and many nieces and nephews.
