Andrew was born on October 24th, 1980 to Paul and Bonnie Lee (Green) Christensen in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He attended St. Johns Lutheran School through 8th grade then attended Wabasso Public High School where he participated in Football, Basketball, and track; was Homecoming King, and the Valedictorian of the 1999 graduating class. He attended Moorehead State then later graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Sioux Falls. He was baptized as an infant at St. Johns Lutheran Church and confirmed in May of 1995. Andrew dedicated 16 years of his career to Pathward (formerly MetaBank) where he built many friendships and cherished the moments he shared with his coworkers.
Andrew, lovingly known as Ace or AC, was a larger than life personality who never knew a stranger. He yearned for adventure and chased it through his trips with friends and loved ones on his bike, in the car, or by plane. Beneath the tough guy exterior was the most empathetic, compassionate human being who loved his family and friends fiercely. From bonfire nights on the farm to poker runs to making friends in the strangest of places, Andrew brought the good times and brightened the lives of those around him. As the King of “dad jokes”, he would always offer the opportunity for a laugh and enjoyed making others smile in good times and in bad. He was passionate about his Harleys, four wheelers, and daring to challenge gravity. He found a new passion in fatherhood after meeting his fiance, Kayla, and her son, Braiden. He shared his love for motors, sports, the outdoors, and more with Braiden while showing him the love of a father.
Andrew is survived by his Fiance Kayla McMackin, Son Braiden McMackin, of Sioux Falls, SD; Parents Paul & Bonnie Lee Christensen, of Redwood Falls, MN; Siblings Scott(Barbie) Christensen, of Sioux Falls, SD; Jennifer Kuehn of Redwood Falls, MN; Gina(Chris) Pifer, of Tipton, MO; Todd Kuehn of Wabasso, MN; and many beloved friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
