Alice Mae Kopacek was born on August 22, 1938 to James and Francis (Amundson) Hosek in Olivia, MN. She graduated from Olivia High School in 1956. Alice was united in marriage to Kenneth Kopacek on August 10, 1968 in Olivia where they made their home and raised their family. Alice was a very active and devoted member of the Faith United Methodist Church. She dedicated her time and organization skills to various events held at the church over the years. Alice enjoyed watching the BOLD Warriors when Kyle was in school and continued to follow them by listening to every game on the radio. She was her biggest food critic; although she always found something wrong with her cooking, her famous homemade chocolate cake and potato salad were favorites of her family and friends. Doing word finds, having coffee and visiting with people was how Alice enjoyed spending most of her time. Alice will be remembered for being friendly and kind to all she came in contact with.

Alice is survived by her husband, Ken of Olivia; her son, Kyle (and Kirsten) Kopacek of Lake Park, MN; her daughter, Leah (and Mike) Vaughan of Vail, AZ; her grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Karter, Karson, & Kaden Kopacek, Dani (and Brian) Vulgamott, and Ashley (and Jason) Campos; her great-grandchildren: Zachary & Kenzie Vulgamott and Chase Campos; and her sister, Marcella Bauman of Olivia, MN. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, James and Francis Hosek; brother, Luverne Hosek; and sister, Betty Lou Stubbs.
