Morgan woman injured in two-vehicle crash during Wednesday’s blizzard

During last Wednesday’s blizzard, with zero-visibility conditions due to 60 mph winds and snow, a Morgan woman was injured when two vehicles collided on a gravel road.

On Dec. 23, at about 12:53 p.m., the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two vehicle accident with injuries on Ranch Ave near 270th St. Investigation showed a 2007 GMC Sierra driven by James Francis Larsen, age 68, of Morgan, was northbound on Ranch Ave. when it collided with a southbound 2010 Ford F-150 driven by Jeffrey Maximillian Stelzer, age 47, of Morgan.

Both vehicles struck each other on the front drivers side corner, became disabled, and ended up blocking Ranch Ave.

The Sheriff’s Office reported one of Larsen’s passengers, Kailee Michelle Larsen, age 18, struck her head on the windshield as a result of the accident. She was transported to a local hospital by the Morgan Ambulance with believed minor injuries.
