The Redwood Valley Boys basketball team lost their first game of the season by a score of 73-70 to New Ulm on Monday night at Redwood Valley High School. The Cardinals fell to 5-1 with the loss and New Ulm improved to 5-0 with the win. New Ulm hit a buzzer beater at halftime to take a 36-35 lead, and the Cardinals missed a jumper with time winding down to potentially take the lead. The Cardinals were led by Carson Woodford, who scored 16 points. Zack Reck added 15 points on 5 made 3 pointers. The Cardinals play New London Spicer tonight in their final game before the Christmas Break.
