An unidentified youth created a minor stir at Yellow Medicine East High School Wednesday evening with a bomb threat.

At about 7:08 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, a custodian at the high school found the threat written on a bathroom wall, and contacted the Granite Falls Police Department. After meeting with the school administrators, the responding police officer reviewed surveillance video and identified a possible source of the threat.

The officer met with the person of interest, heard a confession, and gave the all-clear that there was no actual threat. The suspect is a minor child, so no information about his or her identity will be made available.
