The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Redwood, Renville, and McLeod Counties, starting 7 a.m. Sunday, and running until 7 a.m. Monday.

Snow accumulations of up to six inches, and winds gusting as high as 35 mph could make travel difficult. Also, because any snow is expected to be heavy and wet, tree damage and power outages are possible.

The heaviest snows are expected to be south of a line from St. James through Mankato to Cottoge Grove.
