Willmar woman injured in semi rollover Thursday morning

A Willmar woman was injured Thursday when the semi-truck she was driving overturned near Renville.

On Aug. 27, at about 11:41 a.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle crash on 840th Avenue, about two miles northeast of Renville. The caller reported the driver was still in the vehicle.

The preliminary crash investigation revealed a 2005 Peterbilt, driven by 42 year old Stephanie Jenson of Willmar, was traveling westbound on 840th Avenue. Jenson moved over for a tractor pulling a spreader. The passenger-side tire of the semi went off the side of the road, causing the semi to rollover. Jenson was not wearing her seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries.

Jenson was transported to Olivia Hospital by Renville Ambulance. She was later airlifted by North Air Care to St. Cloud Hospital.

Assisting on the scene were the Minnesota State Patrol, Renville Fire Department, and Renville Ambulance.
