Two Willmar residents were injured in a Kandiyohi County collision last week.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol. at about 6:20 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 29, a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Daniel Lee Epema, age 61, of Willmar, was eastbound on 60th Ave. NE. At the intersection with Highway 71, Epema failed to yield to, and collided with, a 2012 Cheverolet Traverse driven by Maria Esther Garcia, age 51, of Willmar.

Both drivers were taken to Carris Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff, Spicer Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance assisted at the scene.
