Willmar man injured in pickup / semi-truck collision Saturday

A Willmar man was injured Saturday when his pickup collided with a semi-truck in Kandiyohi County.

On Nov. 21, at about 10:56 a.m., a 2000 Ford pickup driven by Michael Leonard Dolezal, age 65, of Willmar, was southbound on Highway 71. At the intersection of County Road 3, Dolezal was in the process of making a lefthand turn when his pickup was rear-ended by a 2017 Volvo semi-truck being driven by Paul Charles Dykshorn, age 29, of Renville.

Dolezal was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life threatening injuries. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
