Willmar man injured in motorcycle / deer collision Wednesday
A Willmar man was injured when his motorcycle collided with a deer this week.
On Wednesday evening, at approximately 10:06 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival deputies located the driver, identified as Thomas Tait, age 58, from Willmar.
Tait had been traveling west on County Road 25 when his 1982 Honda motorcycle struck a deer. Tait sustained non-life threatening injuries due to the collision with the deer. Tait was transported to Carris Health – Rice Hospital for his injuries.
Assisting the sheriff’s office were the Willmar Fire Department, Willmar Ambulance, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
