Vote to replace elementary school in Redwood Falls passes

According to official results released Wednesday morning, the vote to fund a new elementary school in Redwood Falls passed Tuesday.

According to the school district, the final result was 1,137 yes votes, to 1,059 no votes.
The total number of votes was 2,196, with 612 of those being absentee votes sent in ahead of election day.

Voting was heavy at the Redwood Area Community Center Tuesday. After polls closed at 8 p.m., the absentee votes were counted.
