Two women injured in Redwood County collision Wednesday afternoon
Two women were injured in a collision on Highway 71 in Redwood County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 5:13 p.m. on May 11, Barbara Jo Loppnow, age 70, of Wabasso, was driving a Chevrolet Traverse eastbound on Highway 71. As Loppnow was turning onto the driveway of 36013 Highway 71, she was crashed into by an eastbound Chevrolet Cruze being driven by a 16 year old female.
Loppnow and her passenger, Donna Jean Liebl, age 56, of Redwood Falls, were both transported to the Carris Health – Redwood emergency room with non-life threatening injuries.
The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Redwood Falls Police Department, Redwood Falls Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
