Two St. James residents were injured when their vehicle slid on a Cottonwood County road Saturday.

According to the Minesota State Patrol, on Oct. 28, Martha Laura Vidal, age 59, of St. James, was driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Highway 60. At about 9:32 p.m., near mile post 51, the vehicle went off the road, hit a guard rail, and rolled. The state patrol says roads were icy at the time.

Vidal was transported to Windom Area Health with non life-threatening injuries, as was her passenger Antelmo Santibanez, age 58, of St. James.

Assisting on the scene were the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mountain Lake Police and Fire Departments.
