Two injured in Walnut Grove hit-and-run Wednesday

Two people received minor injuries in a Walnut Grove hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening.

According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, at about 9:30 p.m. on May 15, deputies, and the Walnut Grove Fire Department and Ambulance were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident along the 600 block of Bedal Street in Walnut Grove. A 2007 Honda sedan driven by Andre Vue, age 20, struck an unoccupied 2003 Honda SUV legally parked by the side of a road.

Minor injuries were reported to both parties in Vue’s vehicle, and alcohol was determined to be a contributing factor in the crash.  Crash damages were estimated to be over $1,000, and charges are pending.
