Two drivers were injured when their vehicles collided in Kandiyohi County on Tuesday morning.

On Oct. 18, at 6:36 a.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two vehicle head-on crash on County Road 23, about a half mile west of 45th Street SE.
Responding deputies found a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 35 year old Rusty Engel of Lake Lillian was west bound on CR 23 when it crossed into the east bound lane and collided with an east bound 2017 Ford Edge operated by 29 year old Norma Sandoval of Kandiyohi.
Sandoval and Engel were the only occupants in their vehicles. Sandoval was transported to Centra Care Rice Memorial Hospital by Centra Care Emergency Medical Services with unknown injuries. Engel was transported by Life Link Air Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Kandiyohi Fire Department, the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Central Care Emergency Medical Services, Life Link Air Ambulance and the MN State Patrol.
