Three Missouri residents die in Kandiyohi County collision Thursday

Three Missouri residents died in a collision in Kandiyohi County Thursday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Justin M. Ecker, age 41, of Lee Summit, Missouri, was driving a Lexus SUV northbound on County Road 7. At about 5:54 p.m., at the intersection with Highway 40, the Lexus collided with an eastbound Volvo semi-truck being driven by Ralph John Enderle, age 57, of Raymond.

Ecker was declared deceased at the scene, as were his passengers Carol Catherine Ecker, age 64, of Kansas City, and Jonathan M. Ecker, age 39, of Rosendale, Missouri. Ecker’s passenger Jennifer Michelle McGinniss, age 35, of Elmo, Missouri, was transported to the hospital in St. Cloud with believed life-threatening injuries. Enderle was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life-threatening injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Kandiyohi County Fire and Sheriff’s Departments, the Raymond and Willmar Ambulances, Life Link helicopter, and the Pennock Fire Department.
