Three people were injured when two vehicles collided on snowy roads Saturday evening.

At about 8:11 p.m. on Jan. 4, a 2019 Chevrolet Bolt driven by Alfred Miller Jessen, age 90, of Tracy, was northbound on Highway 59 near 180th Street.

A southbound 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 16 year old male unidentified by the State Patrol lost control on the snowy road, slid sideways, and hit Jessen’s Bolt sideways.

The 16 year old male, Alfred Jessen, and Jessen’s passenter, Laverne Anna Jessen, age 85, of Tracy were all taken to Avera Hospital in Marshall with non-life threatening injuries.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
