Three people were injured when two vehicles collided in Kandiyohi County on Saturday.

On Oct. 14, at about 4:30 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office learned of a crash with injuries near the intersection of County Road 8 NE and 60th Ave NE.
Deputies found two vehicles in the southwest ditch of County Road 8. Investigation showed a 2005 Lexus being driven by Jacob Johnson, age 47, of Minneapolis, and a juvenile passenger, age 14, of Minneapolis, was southbound on County Road 8. The Lexus was struck by a 2017 Hyundai driven by Austin Watson, age 27, of Willmar, who was westbound on 60th Ave NE. Deputies determined Watson had failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection.
Watson was transported to CentraCare Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Atwater Ambulance. Johnson and his passenger were transported to CentraCare Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by private party.
