Thieves broke into a bank ATM in Willmar Monday, and law enforcement is asking the public for information.

On Dec. 4, at 11:43 p.m., the Willmar Police Department received an ATM alarm from a bank located on E Hwy 12. Officers found an ATM machine had been damaged and broken into.
The investigation led officers to a hotel parking lot on E Hwy 12. Officers recovered a stolen vehicle and tools believed to be used in the theft. It is unknown at this time how much money was stolen from the ATM.
