Take A Kid Fishing Weekend: June 7th Through 9th

Lots of area Minnesotans definitely enjoy their fishing. This weekend is a special one we all know, or should know, as the annual “Take A Kid Fishing Weekend”. On this special weekend, anyone over the age of 16 who wants take a child 15 and under fishing can do so without a fishing license.  With what looks to be shaping up to be just about a perfect weekend get on out there and take that special kid in your life out for a day on the lake or river for some good ole’ fashion fun! In addition to this weekend being “Take A Kid Fishing Weekend”, the Minnesota DNR offers 4 days a year, FREE state park admission! This Saturday, June 8th is one of those days. You can visit any one of the 75 state parks Minnesota offers without the need of a vehicle permit. So get out and explore a new park or visit and old favorite this weekend!
