Suspicious vehicle, suspect reported in Redwood County Friday

A suspicious vehicle and suspect were reported in Redwood County Friday morning.

On May 29, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in southern Sheridan Township.

The suspicious vehicle had been abandoned at a farm site and was impounded by the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office. Investigation into that vehicle remains on going.

During the early afternoon hours the Sheriff’s Office received information on a potential suspect related to this vehicle. The suspect was reportedly traveling on foot in Vail Township, just north of Wabasso.

A search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s office does not believe there is a threat to the general public. The Sheriff’s Office would also like to remind residents to remove keys from vehicles and lock your out buildings.
