A Spicer woman was injured when her vehicle slid on slushy roads Saturday afternoon.

On April 1, at about 1:40 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was called to a two vehicle crash with injuries in the 5800 block of 113th Avenue. Deputies determined a 2012 Ford Escape, driven by Kristi Barber, age 41, of Spicer, was traveling eastbound on a slush-covered 113th Avenue. Also, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Mazie Anderson, age 21, of Spicer, was traveling westbound on that road when the vehicles collided head-on.

Barber was transported to a hospital in St. Cloud by air ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Anderson and her three juvenile passengers were not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Spicer Fire Department, Spicer First Responders, Minnesota State Patrol, CentraCare Ambulance, and Life Link III.
