South Dakota man injured in Renville County collision Tuesday

A South Dakota man was injured in a Renville County collision on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 2:55 p.m., a 2008 Chevrolet Impala was being driven southbound on Highway 71 by Dustin Joseph Brendan Goblirsch, age 27, of Brookings, South Dakota. Near County Road 15, Goblirsch’s vehicle collided with a northbound 2012 Chevrolet Impala being driven by Connor Joseph Johanneck, age 21, of Morgan.

The Highway Patrol says roads were icy at the time. Goblirsch was transported to Carris Health – Redwood hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Carris Health Ambulance, and Morton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
