A march in memory of George Floyd is set for today at 5:30 p.m. in Redwood Falls, proceeding from the Redwood Falls airport to the Zeb Gray Shelter in Ramsey Park.

The Redwood Falls Police Department stated Friday afternoon that, for the marchers’ safety, the street department will shut down traffic at all the intersections along Bridge Street from the airport to Grove Street for traffic on the north side of Bridge Street.

People attempting to proceed onto Bridge Street from the north will need to find an alternate route. Also, people who need to exit Bridge Street and proceed north will also need to find alternate routes.

As the marchers get past each intersection, the street department will remove barricades. For example, cars will not be able to travel northbound onto Quality Drive from Bridge Street or southbound from Quality onto Bridge Street.  Once the marchers are well past Quality, that barricade will be removed and traffic will flow normally.
