Sleepy Eye man dies in farm accident Tuesday morning

A Sleepy Eye man,  Austin Brett Trebesch, age 27, died in a work-related accident on Tuesday.

According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, at about 8:43 p.m. on Aug. 29, the  dispatch center received numerous 911 calls from 22024 State Highway 4 reporting a male had been in a work-related farm implement accident. 

First Responders treated Trebesch at the scene, and transported him to the Sleepy Eye Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.  This accident remains under investigation with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. 

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sleepy Eye Police Department, Sleepy Eye Ambulance Service, and North Memorial Air Care.
