Single Vehicle Crash Near Hector

Hector, MN On October 2, 2024, at approximately 8:48 AM, the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a single-vehicle crash on County Road 4 near the intersection of County Road 16 in Renville County. That location is approximately 8 miles Southwest of Hector.

Upon arrival at the crash scene, emergency responders discovered a Dunnick owned 2009 Kensworth Cement truck resting on its side in the Eastbound ditch. The driver, identified as Guadalupe Navarroage 32 of Willmar self-extracted with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that NAVARRO’s vehicle was traveling Eastbound on County Road 4 when the front driver’s side tire blew causing significant front-end damage. NAVARRO lost control of the vehicle and entered the Eastbound ditch. The vehicle landed on its’s passenger side causing severe damage to the cab. NAVARRO was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Alcohol/Drugs were not believed to be a factor.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, Hector Fire Department, and the Hector Ambulance Service.
